We had the incredible pleasure of staying in one of Vrbo’s Vacation Rentals of the Year at Inlet Beach, Florida, right in the hub of Rosemary, Alys, Seacrest, and Kaia. We had never been to this area but heard so many great things and couldn’t wait to see what visiting the infamous 30A was all about. Not going to lie, the 8.5 hour drive was the most intimidating factor for us during this whole trip but now that it’s all done, it was well worth it. We ended up bringing friends and their families with us and we all truly enjoyed the trip despite the drive and the weather! There’s so much we loved about the Vrbo, the location, the beauty of everything that the 45 degree rainy weather could not deflate how amazing this trip turned out to be.

THE DRIVE

Okay, so 8.5 hours, how did we prepare? We googled. We found every toy imaginable that was good for car rides and made little travel bags for each of the kids. I’ve done this before for flights, but I never thought to separate the bags for each child. This was an incredible idea seeing how they used these while we were in the Vrbo as well. This was the most helpful during the drive accompanied by a good old tablet and head phones. I’ve linked all of our car travel items here on our Amazon Storefront.

THE VRBO

We’ve stayed in quite a few vacation rentals in our days of family travel and I must say, this has to be one of our favorites. I just can’t tell you how much we loved the location. It’s in such a prime area that feels safe, like home, but also near all the fun spots you want to be! We were just a walk away from the beach, so those sunset walks were something I’ll dream of forever. I couldn’t snap enough photos of the kids soaking up these swoon worth sunsets. The Vrbo also came with a 6 seater golf cart for us to take a quick drive into town for dinner or breeze through the amazing neighborhoods. I fell in love with (this part of) Florida, because every where you go is beautiful!

As we mentioned, we brought our friends with us, bringing us to a total of 6 adults and 7 children staying all together. We all fit more than comfortably in this home. The kids were living lavish with their full size bunk beds and kids living room equipped with a ping pong table and mini kitchenette for snacks. The Vrbo even provided a pack and play and life jackets for the babies and you know baby friendly Vrbo’s are the key to my heart! The house was massive, sleeping 26 total people comfortably and we could have invited so many more friends! We didn’t even touch every room, it was that spacious! The main floor had an open concept so we were able to hang out and cook in the kitchen while also watching our kids play in the living room. We could all eat together at their large dinning table which made our family dinners that much more special.

Let’s talk about the outdoor space, because that needs it’s own blog post. With sliding glass doors to the outside, this house was the ultimate entertainment spot. The zero entry heated salt water infinity pool with shooting jets was so fun for the kids! We couldn’t keep them out of the pool and it was 45-55 degrees the entire weekend! The spacious hot tub made it fun for all the parents to relax at the end of the night. If we were throwing a big party in the summer, the “adults only” pool section with barstools next to the tv and cabana area would be such a vibe. The patio included a swinging bed which was my favorite feature, an entire outdoor grill and kitchen, and little lawn area in the back to play corn hole! Literally everything you’d want for adults and kids!

Although we didn’t get to take advantage of these, the Vrbo also provided 6 adult bikes, 4 kid bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, beach chairs and towels, even a beach wagon, umbrella, and cooler! You literally just need to show up and you’ve got all the amenities ready for any beach day!

This house is a must while visiting, plan your family trip and Book this Vrbo here

30A LOCATION

We were eager to visit Rosemary and Alys beaches because of how incredibly beautiful the architecture of the buildings were and the amazing little restaurants and shops! We weren’t there for a long period of time and one of the days it rained ALL day so here are the places we ended up visiting and loved!

Rosemary Beach – The absolute cutest area to walk around, shop, grab coffee grab a bite, check out the beach. I’m ready to move here, it’s just absolutely stunning.

Alys Beach – Just go to see beautiful architecture, you won’t be disappointed. It didn’t even feel like we were in Florida anymore, truly breathtaking, incredibly clean and well designed.

Pickles – This place was a sweet surprise! We were running from one shelter to the next in the rain and some guy told us to stop and try a pickle margarita. The guys were sold so we found a table and that’s when everyone started flooding us with their favorites. Their wings were to die for. The burger was incredible and please please PLEASE try their Pickle margarita.

Black Bear Coffee Co – We stopped here right as they were closing and got really luck to snag one of their eclectic lattes and fresh baked pastries. We got to take a few loafs of bread home too before they tossed them for the day.

Fonville Press – One of the most beautiful coffee shops/ bars/ mini market all in one. It’s just as pretty in real life as it is on the gram. The food and drinks were great, but we were there for the vibe!
